The IRIS Mentoring Camp of Southern region in collaboration with Periyar Science & Technology Centre got off to a flying start in Chennai on 28th and 29th May 16 under the Chairmanship of Dr. Sultan Ismail.
A total of 52 participants along with their guide teachers from 38 schools across the southern region – from as far as Andaman & Nicobar Islands to Telangana, participated in the two-day camp. The participants actively engaged in meaningful discussions with the 10 Regional Scientific Committee Members who had volunteered their time to give shape to the participant’s ideas. Both the students and the guides were able to fine tune their thoughts on going forward with their projects in a more meaningful way. The RSRC emphasized on innovation and quality and gave valuable inputs and suggestions.
A special note of thanks to Dr. Sultan Ismail and the Regional Scientific Committee Members who worked tirelessly and interacted with the students and made them understand the quality of projects which IRIS was looking towards and motivated them to think out of the box as they move away from their comfort zones.
